Preparedness

Preparedness is the process of being ready for emergencies and disasters.

No matter where you are, you should:

  • stay informed
  • create emergency plans
  • gather appropriate supplies in an emergency kit

You should be prepared with enough supplies to last at least 72 hours.

Emergency kits should be checked and maintained every 6 months.

It is critical to drill and practice these plans.
